1. Rental Terms and Conditions

  • Rental Duration: All rentals are charged based on daily, weekly, or monthly rates. Equipment must be returned by the agreed-upon time to avoid late fees.
  • Late Fees: Late returns are subject to additional charges at the daily rental rate. Please notify us if you anticipate a delay in returning the equipment.
  • Reservation Deposits: A deposit may be required to secure your equipment rental. This will be applied toward your total rental cost.
  • Payment: Full payment for the rental period is due upon pickup or delivery of the equipment unless prior arrangements have been made.

2. Equipment Condition

  • Inspection: All equipment is inspected and tested before leaving our facility. We ensure it is in full working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Customer Responsibility: Once in your possession, the equipment is your responsibility. You are required to return it in the same condition as when rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
  • Damage: Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will result in additional charges for repairs or replacement. Please report any issues or malfunctions immediately.

  • Safety Inspections: All rented equipment is regularly inspected and maintained for safety compliance. However, it is the customer’s responsibility to conduct daily checks on equipment for safety compliance during the rental period.
  • Operating Guidelines: Customers must follow all manufacturer-provided guidelines and safety procedures when using the equipment. Failure to comply may result in penalties, fees, or equipment repossession.

5. Insurance Requirements

  • General Liability Insurance: All customers renting equipment must provide proof of general liability insurance coverage. This insurance should cover any potential damage or injury caused by the rented equipment during the rental period.
  • Additional Insured: Mid-South Equipment must be listed as an additional insured on your policy.
  • Damage Waiver: A damage waiver may be available for an additional fee. This does not cover damage due to misuse, negligence, or failure to follow proper safety guidelines.

6. Delivery and Pickup

  • Delivery Services: Mid-South Equipment offers delivery services for an additional fee, depending on the location and type of equipment.
  • Pickup Requirements: Customers are responsible for securing and transporting the equipment unless delivery services are arranged. Equipment must be returned by the specified time to avoid additional charges.
  • Off-Hours Returns: Returns outside of business hours must be arranged in advance to ensure proper check-in of the equipment.

7. Cancellations

  • Rental Cancellations: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled rental start time may incur a cancellation fee. This fee will be a percentage of the total rental cost, depending on the notice given.
  • Delivery Cancellations: If you cancel delivery services after the truck has been dispatched, a fee will apply based on mileage.

8. Liability and Indemnification

  • Customer Liability: The customer is responsible for any injury, property damage, or loss resulting from the operation of the rented equipment. Mid-South Equipment is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses incurred while using rented equipment.
  • Indemnification: By renting equipment from Mid-South Equipment, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mid-South Equipment from all claims, damages, or expenses related to the use of the rented equipment.

9. Equipment Theft or Loss

  • Theft: In the event of theft, the customer is required to file a police report and notify Mid-South Equipment immediately. The customer is responsible for the replacement cost of the stolen equipment unless otherwise covered by insurance.
  • Loss or Misplacement: Any loss or misplacement of equipment will result in charges for the full replacement cost of the item.

10. Maintenance and Repairs

  • Routine Maintenance: The customer is responsible for performing routine maintenance checks (e.g., oil levels, fuel levels, tire pressure) on long-term rentals. Failure to maintain the equipment may result in additional repair fees.
  • Repairs: Mid-South Equipment must be notified immediately of any repairs needed. Customers are not permitted to make repairs on the equipment without prior approval. Unauthorized repairs may result in additional charges.
